Reverse Brow Lift – Forehead Reduction

Patient information: This 28 year patient sought consultation with Dr. Bunkis with regards to a high frontal hairline. Options were reviewed and they agreed upon a staged procedure. At the first procedure, through an incision in front of her frontal hairline, a tissue expander was inserted under the scalp behind the incision. A tissue expander is basically an empty silicone implant, with a palpable valve, that gets inflated weekly with a saline injection. Approximately 200 cc were injected over the course of about three months, to give us the appearance in the central photos. At the next procedure, the tissue expander is removed, the frontal hairline dropped to the desired level, and the hairless upper forehead skin is excised, to give her this more normal looking forehead, to give us this pleasing result, with which the patient was very pleased.
